Terms overview
- You are responsible for the files and content you upload or share through FileMoon.
- You must not upload illegal, abusive, harmful, malware, phishing, stolen, or copyright-infringing content.
- File access, expiry, download speed, waiting time, captcha, and streaming availability may depend on account type and service rules.
- Premium plans may provide additional limits or features but remain subject to these terms.
- FileMoon may remove, restrict, suspend, or investigate content or accounts that violate these terms.
Free Account Storage & File Retention
FileMoon Free accounts are subject to a 30 GB storage limit. Storage limits may also be applied across accounts that FileMoon determines are linked or associated with the same user. When a Free account reaches or exceeds the applicable storage threshold, additional uploads may be restricted and a 60-day Free-storage grace period may begin. During this period, users may upgrade to an active Premium plan or manage their stored files. FileMoon does not automatically delete Free-account files when this 60-day grace period ends. Any removal of files under the Free-storage policy is handled manually by FileMoon administration when necessary. Users should still maintain independent backup copies of important files. FileMoon may send storage-limit and grace-period notifications as a courtesy. FileMoon may apply reasonable measures to prevent attempts to circumvent Free account storage limits through multiple or associated accounts. This Free-account policy does not alter the separate retention terms applicable to Premium accounts or expired Premium subscriptions.
Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using FileMoon, you agree to follow these Terms of Use and any other policies that apply to the service. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use FileMoon.
Service description
FileMoon provides online file hosting, file sharing, video streaming, download access, account tools, and premium features. Some features may depend on account type, storage limits, processing status, payment status, or technical availability.
User accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account secure. You should use accurate account information, protect your login credentials, and notify support if you suspect unauthorized access or misuse of your account.
Uploaded content
You remain responsible for any files, videos, names, descriptions, links, or other content you upload or share. You must only upload content that you have the legal right to store, access, share, or distribute.
Prohibited content and activity
You may not use FileMoon to upload, store, share, or distribute illegal content, malware, phishing files, stolen data, abusive material, spam, copyright-infringing files, privacy-violating content, or anything that violates applicable law or platform rules.
Downloads and streaming
FileMoon may apply download waiting times, captcha checks, speed limits, video processing, streaming conversion, access restrictions, or other technical controls to protect service stability and prevent abuse.
File availability and expiry
File availability may depend on account status, plan limits, inactivity, storage rules, abuse reports, technical processing, or policy enforcement. Guest and free files may expire according to platform limits.
Premium plans and payments
Premium plans may provide higher limits, faster access, reduced restrictions, or additional features. Premium access depends on successful payment, active plan status, account condition, and compliance with these terms.
Premium storage retention after expiration
When a Premium subscription expires, files stored under that Premium account are retained for a 7-day grace period. You may renew Premium during this grace period to maintain your stored files. If Premium is not renewed before the grace period ends, files associated with the expired Premium storage become eligible for permanent deletion and may not be recoverable once deleted. Renewing Premium before the end of the grace period prevents those files from becoming eligible for deletion under this retention policy. You are responsible for renewing on time or downloading and backing up important files before the grace period ends.
Abuse reports and removals
FileMoon may review reports related to copyright infringement, illegal files, malware, phishing, privacy violations, stolen data, or other abuse. Reported content may be restricted, disabled, removed, or investigated.
Account restrictions
FileMoon may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts involved in repeated abuse, illegal activity, payment fraud, security risks, excessive automated activity, or violations of these terms.
Service changes
FileMoon may update, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service for technical, legal, security, business, or operational reasons.
No guarantee of uninterrupted service
FileMoon is provided on an as-available basis. We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent file availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device or browser.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FileMoon is not responsible for losses caused by service interruptions, file deletion, account misuse, third-party actions, user error, unauthorized access, or technical problems beyond reasonable control.
Updates to these terms
FileMoon may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The latest version published on this page will apply to future use of the website and services.
